The
Royals, based in Reading, Pennsylvania,
serve as the Los Angeles King's minor
league affiliate in the East Coast Hockey
League (ECHL). Having joined the league
in the fall of 2001, the growing level
of play in the twenty-eight team league
has drawn over 3 million fans in each
of the last eight seasons.
The Royals
play in the new 7,200 seat Sovereign
Center in downtown Reading.
