北京奥林匹克篮球馆位于北京两条主干道长安街和西四环路的交汇处，是52万平方米娱乐开发区的核心部分。这一地区将建设成为中国最有活力的集体育，购物，餐饮和休闲于一体的城市新地标。

场馆最多可容纳近18，000人，是中国首个按照NBA标准建造的体育馆。此外，场馆内还配有45间贵宾包厢，2家餐馆和世界顶级的灯光及音响系统。
